Nidānaṁ:

Yaṁ maṅgalam dvādasahi, 

Cintayiṁsu sadevakā,

Sotthānaṁ nādhigacchanti

Aṭṭhatiṁsañca maṅgalaṁ,

Desitaṁ devadevena

Sabbapāpavināsanaṁ,

Sabbalokahitatthāya

Maṅgalaṁ taṁ bhaṇāmahe.

Aakhodha:

##Ze mongol o hodha 12 bojor song debw maneye sugotthei cide gurinei udo nw pan,debw maneyo sugottei, bek pappani naaj obattei, goda pittimit suk pebattei, se 38 attirich babwdhor mongol o hodha iyot mui bhangi hongor.

Origin:

###For 12 years, deities and human were not able to think of what is blessing. For the wellbeing of many including deities and mankind, I am uttering those 38 types of blessings in this life.

Evaṁ me sutaṁ, ekaṁ samayaṁ bhagavā sāvatthiyaṁ viharati jetavane anāthapiṇḍikassa ārame. Atha kho aññatarā devatā abhikkhantāya rattiyā abhikkantavaṇṇā kevalakappaṁ jetavanaṁ obhāsetvā yena bhagavā tenupasaṅkami. Upasaṅkamitvā bhagavantaṁ abhivādetvā ekamantaṁ aṫṫhāsi. Ekamantaṁ ṫhitā kho sā devatā bhagavantaṁ gāthāya ajjhabhāsi.

##Ezan mui sunyong, ek madanot gojen bhogobane Shrabostit Awnathwpindigor daan gujjye Jetwbon hiyongot elw. ###Thus have I Heard: On one occasion the Blessed One was living near Savatthi at Jetavana at Anathapindika’s monastery. Now when the night was far advanced, a certain deity, whose surpassing radiance illuminated the whole of Jetavana, approached the Blessed One, respectfully saluted him, and stood beside him. Standing thus, he addressed the Blessed One in verse:

Maṅgalāni acintayuṁ,

Ākaṅkhamāna sotthānaṁ;

###Deity:“Many deities and men longing for happiness have pondered on the question of blessings. Pray tell me what the highest blessings are.

  1. Asevanā ca bālānaṃ,

paṇḍitānañca sevanā;

Pūjā ca pūjaneyyānaṃ,

etaṃ maṅgalamuttamaṃ.

Pujoniyo jonore pujona, Iyeni bhaari mongol oi.

###“Not to associate with the foolish, but to associate with the wise, and to honor those worthy of honor—this is the highest blessing.

  1. Patirūpadesavāso ca,

pubbe ca katapuññatā;

Attasammāpaṇidhi ca,

etaṃ maṅgalamuttamaṃ.

##Dhormo punyo guri parede jagat thana, Age gochchhya punyo thele,

Nijore somyok podot nezele, Iyeni bhaari mongol oi.

###“To reside in a suitable locality, to have performed meritorious actions in the past, and to set oneself in the right direction—this is the highest blessing.

  1. Bāhusaccañca sippañca,

vinayo ca susikkhito;

Subhāsitā ca yā vācā,

etaṃ maṅgalamuttamaṃ.

##Balok bidye janili nanan haam parili, Shikkhitw gom nitiban awle,

Gom bhaledi hodha hoi parili, Iyeni bhaari mongol oi.

###“Vast learning, skill in handicrafts, well grounded in discipline, and pleasant speech—this is the highest blessing.

  1. Mātāpituupaṭṭhānaṃ,

puttadārassa saṅgaho;

Anākulā ca kammantā,

etaṃ maṅgalamuttamaṃ.

##Maababore seba jotton gorana, Mok pohsaba hochpei gome palana,

Bejallye haam nw gorana, Iyeni bhaari mongol oi.

###“To support one’s father and mother; to cherish one’s wife and children, and to be engaged in peaceful occupations—this is the highest blessing.

ñātakānañca saṅgaho;

Anavajjāni kammāni,

##Daan dhokkhina gorana dhormo achoron palana, Gyedi hudum ringi cana,

Dujot nw porede haam gorana, Iyeni bhaari mongol oi.

###“Generosity, righteous conduct, rendering assistance to relatives, and performance of blameless deeds—this is the highest blessing.

majjapānā ca saṃyamo;

Appamādo ca dhammesu,

##Pabottun durot thana, Mot mattolw jinijotthun durot thana,

Gom dhormo hamot alsi nw awna, Iyeni bhaari mongol oi.

###“To cease and abstain from evil, to abstain from intoxicating drinks, and diligent in performing righteous acts—this is the highest blessing.

##Gom manjore manyo gorana ohongkari nw awna,

Ziyan age siyandoi hujhi thana,kritoggo gun ragana,

###“Reverence, humility, contentment, gratitude, and the timely hearing of the Dhamma, the teaching of the Buddha—this is the highest blessing.

  1. Khantī ca sovacassatā,

samaṇānañca dassanaṃ;

Kālena dhammasākacchā,

etaṃ maṅgalamuttamaṃ.

##Dhojjo sojjo gun thele, Siloban Bhante shromondoi dega golle,

###“Patience, obedience, meeting the Samanas (holy men), and timely discussions on the Dhamma—this is the highest blessing.

  1. Tapo ca brahmacariyañca,

ariyasaccāna dassanaṃ;

Nibbānasacchikiriyā ca,

etaṃ maṅgalamuttamaṃ.

##Tobona gorana brommochari oi parana, Arjo sotto dhormo janana,

Nirban sotto an lagot pana, Iyeni bhaari mongol oi.

###“Self-discipline, chastity, comprehension of the Noble Truths, and the realization of Nibbana—this is the highest blessing.

  1. Phuṭṭhassa lokadhammehi,

cittaṃ yassa na kampati;

Asokaṃ virajaṃ khemaṃ,

etaṃ maṅgalamuttamaṃ.

###“The mind that is not touched by the vicissitudes of life, the mind that is free from sorrow, stainless, and secure—this is the highest blessing.

Sabbattha sotthiṃ gacchanti,

Taṃ tesaṃ maṅgalamuttaman”ti.

##Zara iyeni guri paron ar pale paron, Bek jagat tara jidi paron,

Bek jagat tarar sugor mongol oi, Iyeniy awlwde taratthei mongol o hodha.

### “Those who have fulfilled the conditions for such blessings are victorious everywhere, and attain happiness everywhere—To them these are the highest blessings.”
